Use this process to report specific copyrighted material. Clear URLs and proof of ownership help us review a notice fairly and quickly.
1. Purpose and scope
Regal Career respects copyright and expects its users, contributors and partners to do the same. This Copyright & Takedown Policy explains how a copyright owner or authorised representative may report material on regalcareer.com that they believe infringes copyright, how Regal Career reviews such reports, and how an affected person may request reconsideration.
This policy applies to material available through the Regal Career website and related services, including articles, images, graphics, videos, downloadable files, recruitment notices, study materials, mock-test content and user submissions. It does not determine ownership or finally decide a legal dispute; courts and competent authorities retain that role.
2. Copyright ownership
Except for third-party and public-source material, Regal Career owns or is licensed to use its original articles, explanations, graphics, interface, branding, compilations and tools. You may not copy, republish, sell, scrape or commercially exploit substantial parts of our original material without written permission or another lawful basis.
Government bodies, recruiting authorities, examination boards, publishers, photographers, authors and other third parties retain their respective rights in their notices, logos, photographs, documents and other material. Display of third-party material does not transfer ownership to Regal Career.
3. Recruitment information and official-source material
Regal Career reports factual recruitment information and may refer to or link to official notifications, advertisements, syllabi, admit cards, answer keys, results and related public announcements. Facts, ideas and short titles may be treated differently from protected creative expression, while the exact wording, design, photograph, illustration or compilation may still be protected.
Where we quote, reproduce or display third-party material, we seek to do so on the basis of permission, licence, public release, attribution, news reporting, review, education, another applicable legal exception, or another lawful basis. Nothing on the Services should be understood as a claim that all government or publicly accessible material is free of copyright.
4. Before submitting a takedown notice
Please first confirm that you own the copyright or are authorised to act for the owner. Also consider whether the complained-of use is authorised by a licence, permission, law, fair dealing or another exception. A disagreement with criticism, factual reporting, a title, an idea, a recruitment fact or an external link may not by itself establish copyright infringement.
If only part of a page is disputed, identify that part precisely. Requesting removal of an entire page when only one image, paragraph or attachment is at issue may delay review.
5. How to submit a copyright notice
Send the notice by email to care@regalcareer.com with the subject line “Copyright Takedown Notice – [page URL]”. A complete notice should include all of the following:
- Your full legal name and, if applicable, the name of the organisation or copyright owner you represent.
- Your email address, telephone number and correspondence address.
- A description of each copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If several works are covered, provide a clear representative list.
- Evidence reasonably showing ownership or authority, such as a publication record, original file, licence, registration information, assignment or letter of authority.
- The exact Regal Career URL for each item complained of and a clear description, screenshot or quotation that allows us to locate the specific material.
- The source URL or other location of the original or authorised work, where available.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or applicable law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature and the date of the notice.
6. Incomplete or unclear notices
We may ask for missing information, proof of authority, clearer URLs, identification of the protected work or an explanation of the rights claimed. We may be unable to act on a notice that does not identify the material, comes from a person without apparent authority, concerns content not hosted by Regal Career, or does not provide enough information for a fair review.
We may consolidate duplicate notices and may use reasonable measures to detect automated, fraudulent, abusive or mass-generated demands.
7. Our review and takedown process
After receiving a sufficiently complete notice, Regal Career may:
- acknowledge the notice and verify the identity or authority of the sender;
- locate and preserve relevant records about the disputed material;
- request clarification or additional evidence from the claimant;
- temporarily disable access where the claim appears credible, urgent or legally required;
- contact the author, uploader, contributor or other affected person, where appropriate;
- consider any licence, permission, attribution, public-interest context or applicable legal exception;
- remove, replace, crop, attribute, restrict or disable the specific material, using an action proportionate to the issue; or
- decline the request where the claim is unsupported, outside copyright, abusive, or where continued use appears legally permitted.
We will process notices within the period required by applicable law and otherwise as promptly as reasonably practicable. The time needed may depend on the clarity, complexity, urgency and number of works involved. Submitting a notice does not guarantee removal.
8. Temporary restriction is not an admission
Removing or restricting material during review is a risk-management step and is not an admission that infringement occurred. Likewise, declining a notice is not a final ruling that the material is lawful. We may change an interim or final action if new evidence, a counter-notice, a court order or a competent-authority direction is received.
9. Counter-notice or request for restoration
If your content is removed or restricted and you believe the action resulted from mistake, misidentification, permission, ownership, licence or a lawful exception, email care@regalcareer.com with the subject line “Copyright Counter-Notice – [page URL]”. Include:
- your full legal name and contact details;
- the URL and a description of the material before it was removed or restricted;
- a clear explanation of why the removal was mistaken or why the use is authorised or lawful;
- supporting evidence, such as a licence, permission, ownership record, original file or relevant correspondence;
- a statement that the information is accurate and submitted in good faith;
- consent for us to share the counter-notice with the original claimant as reasonably necessary to resolve the dispute; and
- your physical or electronic signature and the date.
We may forward a valid counter-notice to the claimant and invite a response. We may restore or continue restricting the material after considering the available information and any evidence of legal proceedings. Restoration is not guaranteed.
10. Court orders and government directions
We may promptly remove, preserve, block or disclose material or records when required by a valid court order, law-enforcement request or direction from a competent authority. Nothing in this policy limits urgent legal remedies available to a copyright owner or affected person.
11. Repeat infringement
Where accounts, contributor access or user submissions are available, we may warn, restrict or terminate a person who repeatedly or seriously infringes copyright, taking into account the reliability of notices, counter-notices, retractions, court decisions and the surrounding circumstances. We may also block re-upload of material previously found to infringe where proportionate and technically practicable.
12. False, misleading or abusive claims
Do not submit a notice or counter-notice that is knowingly false, materially misleading, intended to suppress lawful reporting, or designed to impersonate a rights owner. Misrepresentation may expose the sender to legal liability. We may reject abusive requests, restrict communications from repeat abusers, preserve evidence and report suspected fraud or unlawful conduct to relevant authorities.
13. Information sharing and record retention
We may share a notice or counter-notice, including the sender’s identity and contact details, with the claimant, affected author or uploader, our legal or technical advisers, service providers, hosting partners, courts or competent authorities where reasonably necessary to investigate, resolve, document or comply with the matter.
We may retain notices, evidence, correspondence and action logs for legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, repeat-infringement assessment and recordkeeping. Personal information is otherwise handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Content hosted by third parties
Regal Career may link to documents, application portals, videos, social-media posts or files hosted by government bodies and other third parties. We usually cannot remove content from a third-party service, search-engine cache or another website. Send a takedown request directly to the operator or host of that service. We may review whether the Regal Career link or embedded display should remain.
15. Other legal complaints
This policy is for copyright complaints. For a trademark, privacy, impersonation, defamation, personal-data or other legal concern, email care@regalcareer.com with the relevant URL and identify the type of complaint in the subject line. We may request additional information appropriate to that issue.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, our Services or our review procedures. The “Last updated” date will show when the latest version took effect. An updated policy applies to notices received after its effective date and, where appropriate, to unresolved matters.
