National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has released a vacancy notice for the recruitment of Technician posts on absorption basis. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the required qualification according to the post and trade. The main qualification options are:

For Civil/Track Posts

Candidates should have one of the following:

  • Matriculation/SSLC with ITI in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institution, or
  • Matriculation/SSLC with completed Act Apprenticeship in the relevant trade, or
  • Three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a government-recognized institute.

Relevant trades include Fitter, Mechanic, Draughtsman, Surveyor, Electrician, Welder, Plumber and Painter.

For Electrical Post

Candidates should have:

  • Matriculation/SSLC with ITI in Electrician or equivalent trade, or
  • Completed Act Apprenticeship in Electrician or equivalent trade, or
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

For Signalling & Telecom Post

Candidates should have:

  • Matriculation/SSLC with ITI in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Operator or equivalent trade, or
  • Completed Act Apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Operator or equivalent trade, or
  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Computer, Information Technology Engineering or equivalent.

For Rolling Stock Posts

Candidates should have ITI, Act Apprenticeship, or Diploma qualification in the related trade/discipline such as:

  • Fitter
  • Machinist/Turner
  • Welder
  • Electrician/Electronic Mechanic
  • MRAC
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical/Electronics related disciplines

Important Note: Candidates having higher qualification like BE/B.Tech but without the required ITI/Diploma essential qualification are not eligible for these Technician posts.


Experience Required

For all posts, candidates must have minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

The experience must be in the Operations & Maintenance departments of:

  • Indian Railways
  • Government-owned Railways
  • Government-operated Railways
  • Metro Railways
  • RRTS systems

Candidates must submit a Competency Certificate or Experience Certificate issued by their employer. The certificate should clearly mention the required work experience, including year-wise details of the nature and type of work performed.

Teaching, faculty, apprenticeship, internship, proprietorship, partnership and freelancer experience will not be counted as required work experience.

Civil/Track Domain

Candidates selected in Civil/Track posts may be responsible for:

  • Civil and track inspection
  • Surveying
  • Track maintenance
  • Operation and maintenance of civil/track structures
  • Depot, station and infrastructure-related maintenance
  • Store activities
  • Emergency restoration work

Electrical Domain

Electrical Technician duties may include:

  • Maintenance and inspection of HSR electrical systems
  • Traction power supply work
  • Transmission and distribution power supply systems
  • OHE related work
  • E&M maintenance
  • Utility relocation and modification
  • SCADA related work
  • Troubleshooting and testing activities

Signalling & Telecom Domain

S&T Technicians may work on:

  • PA, PIDS, CCTV, FOTS and clock systems
  • Maintenance manuals and reports

Rolling Stock Domain

Rolling Stock Technician duties may include:

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of rolling stock

  • Assisting senior engineers
  • Ensuring safety and compliance
  • Maintenance of rolling stock machinery and equipment
  • Training and on-the-job skill development

The work may involve shift duties, night-shift maintenance and emergency restoration work as per operational requirements.

Important Conditions

Candidates should note the following points before applying:

  • Only one application can be submitted against vacancy notice numbers 35/2026 to 49/2026.
  • CBT for all posts may be conducted on the same day and same time.
  • Incomplete applications or applications without supporting documents may be rejected.
  • Selection will be subject to medical fitness.
  • Appointed candidates will be on probation for one year.
  • Selected candidates may have to serve at any NHSRCL location.
