Editorial Policy

How Regal Career researches, verifies, updates and presents government recruitment information for candidates.

Effective Date: July 19, 2026
Last Updated: August 18, 2026

This Editorial Policy explains how Regal Career researches, verifies, writes, reviews, updates and corrects government recruitment information, Career Guides and candidate-focused Application Tools.

1. Editorial Purpose

Regal Career exists to help candidates understand government recruitment information and make better-informed application decisions. We aim to add practical value rather than merely repeat a vacancy headline or link.

2. Editorial Independence

Regal Career is an independent information platform. Unless expressly stated, we are not a government department, recruitment commission, examination authority, public-sector employer, official application portal or authorised recruitment agency.

Advertising, sponsorship or commercial relationships do not give an advertiser the right to alter recruitment facts, eligibility information, editorial conclusions or official-source references.

3. Source Hierarchy

Primary and authoritative sources receive priority.

  • Official government and recruiting-authority websites
  • Official recruitment notifications and advertisements
  • Official application portals
  • Official corrigenda, extensions and addenda
  • Government gazettes, press releases and other official publications

Reputable secondary sources, search results and other recruitment websites may be used to discover a possible update or understand candidate questions. They are not treated as final authority when an official source is reasonably available.

4. Verification Before Publication

For recruitment content, our editorial process should make reasonable efforts to verify the details that materially affect a candidate.

  • Recruiting organisation and post name
  • Advertisement or notification number
  • Vacancy count where officially disclosed
  • Opening and closing dates
  • Educational qualification and age requirements
  • Application fee and application method
  • Selection process and pay information where available
  • Official website, notification and application links

Dates, vacancy numbers, eligibility conditions and official links require particular care because an error can directly affect a candidate.

5. Unclear or Incomplete Official Information

If an official source is incomplete, unavailable or unclear, we may state that information has not yet been announced, identify uncertainty, use a clear label such as “To be announced,” and update the page when an official clarification becomes available.

We do not invent dates, vacancy counts, qualifications, fees or selection stages to make a page appear complete.

6. Writing and Presentation

  • Use clear and accessible language
  • Keep the candidate’s practical questions central
  • Use headings, lists and tables when they improve understanding
  • Avoid unnecessary repetition and keyword stuffing
  • Avoid unsupported urgency or misleading headlines
  • Distinguish official facts from explanations, estimates and practical guidance

7. Career Guides

Career Guides are evergreen educational resources. They should explain recruitment concepts accurately, cite or link to authoritative sources where appropriate, use examples carefully and avoid presenting general guidance as a rule that applies to every recruitment.

8. Application Tools and Calculators

Tools should describe their purpose and limitations accurately. A calculator or document-preparation utility must not be presented as official government approval or as a guarantee that a file, calculation or application will be accepted by a particular portal.

9. Artificial Intelligence and Automation

Regal Career may use artificial intelligence or automation to assist with research organisation, extraction, formatting, summarisation, consistency checks and drafting.

Material recruitment facts should still be verified against the relevant official source before publication. AI must not be used as authority to invent vacancies, dates, fees, qualifications, official statements or application links.

10. Originality and Use of Other Websites

Regal Career does not intentionally copy complete articles from competing websites. Other websites may be reviewed to discover updates, understand candidate questions or identify coverage gaps, but final recruitment facts should be checked against authoritative sources where possible.

11. Corrections and Updates

When a meaningful factual error or official change is confirmed, the relevant page should be corrected as soon as reasonably possible. Significant corrections may include an update note where that improves transparency.

12. Publication and Update Dates

A “Last Updated” date should represent a meaningful content change, correction or official update. Minor styling or formatting changes should not be presented as substantive editorial updates.

13. Advertising and Sponsored Material

Advertising should remain distinguishable from independent editorial content. Advertisements must not be disguised as official application links, recruitment notices or editorial recommendations.

14. Conflicts and Accountability

Authors and editors should avoid unsupported claims, disclose material conflicts where relevant, respect intellectual-property rights and remain accountable for the final published content.

15. Candidate Verification

Regal Career is an information service, not the recruiting authority. The applicable official notification and official recruiting authority remain the final source for eligibility, deadlines, fees, application rules and recruitment decisions.
