SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 for 9,766 Junior Associate Customer Support and Sales vacancies

Quick Answer

State Bank of India has released Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17 for recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. Online registration and fee payment are open from 11 August to 31 August 2026.

The official SBI vacancy table lists 7,680 regular vacancies and three separate backlog buckets: 287 SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies, 355 PwBD backlog vacancies and 1,444 XS/DXS backlog vacancies. Together, these backlog buckets total 2,086, giving 9,766 advertised vacancy slots under this notification.

This recruitment is separate from SBI’s earlier 1,538-post Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies. SBI explicitly states that the backlog figures in the new regular notification are net of the vacancies advertised in that special drive.

Graduates can apply, including final-year/final-semester candidates who can prove completion of graduation by 31 December 2026. The preliminary examination is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, followed by the main examination in November 2026.

SBI Clerk Vacancy Details 2026

How the 9,766 Vacancy Figure Is Calculated

The official SBI PDF does not print one separate “grand total” field combining all regular and backlog types. The vacancy table provides these official totals:

Vacancy TypeOfficial Table Total
Regular Vacancies7,680
SC/ST/OBC Backlog287
PwBD Backlog355
XS/DXS Backlog1,444
Combined Advertised Vacancy Slots9,766

This calculation is important because some early recruitment pages incorrectly counted only the 1,444 XS/DXS backlog and reported 9,124. Regal Career uses the complete official SBI vacancy table.
