Educational qualification
Candidates were required to complete a three-year diploma from a polytechnic institution recognised by the Central Government or a state government in one of these disciplines:

Candidates will answer Paper 2 from their selected diploma discipline. Approximately five times the number of vacancies may be shortlisted for the physical test based on Paper 2 marks.
Final merit
The final merit list will be prepared from the marks obtained in the second technical paper of the Main Examination, among candidates who successfully complete the qualifying physical stages.
